Im thinking about doing some NFL betting this season on bovada. How hard is it to receive your payments, Ive heard you have to do a trace of your card and send it to them. They also recommend that you deposit your checks through an ATM. Why is that? Will a teller automatically know that the check is from online gambling and not honor it? i dont just want to throw my money away if actually cashing your winnings is difficult/ sketchy. Any thoughts or advice. Thanks guys

It isn't that hard. From your post, I'd say it will probably be too hard for you to deal with.

What's that supposed to mean? I feel there is a veiled ( maybe not so much) insult there. Was just looking for some insight on the process and why not using a teller is necessary. Gotta love internet jerks

I have used Bovada and really not had a problem. You can cash out for free once a month and they will mail you a check. The reason you want to deposit at an ATM is that the check, while in American dollars, can sometimes be written from a foreign (Canadian typically) bank. It's just easier to avoid the questions from the bank teller and having to lie to him/her.

Of course the bank tellers know it's from online casinos. Nobody else cashes in Canadian checks like that. They also frequently use just a few money launderers so these names are sort of red flag as it is. Nothing really wrong with them knowing though. Why wouldn't you want them to know? They would still honor it because the law states banks can not directly make transactions with online casinos. That's why these 3rd party processors (aka monkey launders) exist. So this is actually fully legal.
