This Thursday, June 29, Richard and I are taping two hour-long shows and basically answering listener questions. We already have enough for about 1.5 hours and we're looking for more. if we get "too many," we'll simply save them for next time. And there will be a next time because when we do these shows we usually get positive feedback.

Also, please note that just because we're soliciting questions doesn't mean we promise to answer every one. We've received more than one variation on "where is your current best play and what is it?" question that simply isn't going to make the cut.

What is the worst thing a supposed partner or friend has done to you, in terms of gambling only.

For Richard.
Would you rather be an AP in todays blackjack world with its reduced opportunities or back in the 1960s when conditions were better, but the possibility of violence and theft was present.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

What's keeping either of you from backing and profiting from the next "Don Johnson" ?
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Who wised up the Revel casino and do you know if the person or persons involved regret their role in costing players money?

As a follow up, do either of you feel they have an obligation to notify casinos of bad (for the casino) promotions?

Follow up #2 How much money would it take for either of you to advise a casino of a bad promotion instead of exploiting it?

Probably deeper than the average listener question but still good discussion points. Thanks!

The Revel promotion was planned from the beginning, as if the casino could afford to give back up to $100,000 to everyone that lost and gaming would go against them.

Just so everyone knows, the Revels loss rebate still went off. 'For whatever reason', they basically took out the $25 VP and tossed out a few people who targeted the $100 slots. You could play $5 high variance VP and freerolled running good(or whatever, there was some other interesting things to play) if you didn't mind a much lesser value and the 20 weeks(IIRC?) of pick-ups. If you lived close it was worth playing, especially if you factor in the mail and comps.

Others lost their rebates due to shenanigans.

Thank God someone was protecting the Revel from failer due to AP's, it may have shut down a week earlier.
At least somome got all that money they saved.

Dealer errors are a hot topic, but what if the error is in the DEALER'S favor? I.E. A mistake when calculating toke bet payouts?

About 10 years ago, I was playing BJ at New York, New York. Often I had a $1 toke bet up. When I got BJ, the dealer paid the $1 with a pink $2.50, but instead of putting the $1 in the bank, he put the entire $3.50 in the toke box.

Not wanting to get the guy in trouble for what might be a simple absent-minded mistake, I said nothing. Except he did it two more times. Should I then tell him? Tell the floorperson? Or continue to keep quiet?

I decided to tell him. As I explained the error, he looked at the table, bank, toke box, etc. Obviously he was mentally retracing his steps, then thanked me and said I was right.

I then asked if he keeps his tokes or if they are shared. Knowing where I was going with this, he laughed, then said it's shared, and the almost 8¢ he just added to his paycheck certainly isn't worth getting fired over.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

What was both of your favorite AP plays in the past (obviously not asking about current)? Not necessarily because of money/etc, but something you both really had fun doing or really enjoyed.

What's the nastiest back-off both of you have had? What do you think lead to the back-off? Is there anything you could have done differently in reflecting on the situation to avoid the back-off and/or heat?

How many other people have you taught some form of AP to?

Bob - When you playing higher denomination games, where you're basically getting a W2 every 5 minutes, how does all that paperwork get processed at the end of your session? Do you get 200 W2's, or it is a summarized variation of some sort?

Richard - When you were getting in to AP, who were your AP idols and why?
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I'd like to hear a discussion of strategy changes to Ultimate X for less than full-pay pay tables. Also, some tips on how I could analyze specific UX hand properly since there are no formal tools.

PS... I'd pay big bucks for a VPFW CD that had UX on it.

A quick search revealed a website that seems to have something. Very clunky though and is designed to analyze 1 hand at a time.

ETA: There appears to be an Android app available, but I have an IPhone. :-(

Actually they didn't toss them out(at lest no one I knew) They just teminated their card and made them pay cash for things that was initially offered as comped.
