Bob Dancer and I are having a hard time finding a guest for every week on our show. So, we have decided to not necessarily have a guest every week. In particular, we don't have anybody for the July 26 show, and only one guest booked for August.

For the weeks without a guest, we would like to spend more time on listener questions. I know that not everyone here listens to the show, but don't let that stop you. That said, if you have a good gambling question I welcome you to submit it to the show be sending it to gamblingwithanedge ... at ... gmail.com. Don't let it stop you if the question has already been asked here or addressed on any of my sites.

Please try to be creative with your questions. Nothing about betting systems. Please don't ask "What is the best game to play?" as I've heard that one a million times. Do not ask something so specific that only you would care about the answer. Think about what would make for good radio banter. Do not post the questions here, as I don't want this turning into a discussion about several different things. Don't PM them to me either, the show has an Email address for a reason.

Thank you.

Wiz,

Do you know what the experience level(gaming-wise) of your listeners are? It may be helpful to know if this question should be of the beginner, intermediate or expert level.

I'd say the show, as opposed to your sites, should have less of a math focus...

I have some ideas and will send them
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

I would target the questions to the intermediate listener. You may also questions about Bob and me.

I don't suppose you guys ever discuss slot machines. I'm wondering if anyone has studied the effect of the new server-based slots on slot payback percentages as a whole, or are they too new?

odiousgambit -

Are you saying, less math than the websites, or less math than is currently on the show?

For the record, either I'm zoning out (hard to accept), or there isn't a lot of math on the radio show.

I agree the show now has little math, I guess I am saying that should stay that way.

We don't discuss slots much, as they are terrible way to gamble. However, feel free to submit that question to the Email address indicated in the OP. I'll refrain from answering it here to not hijack the thread.

I know they are terrible, but they'd be a way to pull in more of the casual listeners who are visiting the area!

I like the old lady on the BBC documentary that featured
the Hilton casino in Vegas. She'd lost $5mil in the last
7 years to the slots. When the BBC host sat next to
her for tips on how to play and asked her strategy, she
was kind of perplexed. 'Strategy? There's no strategy,
you just hit the button and hope for the best.'

That pretty well sums up slots, what more is there to
say.

For the past year I have heard rumors of gambling being permitted in the hotel rooms. Those with a casino, I assume. Personally I wouldn't consider it. Do you think this will ever happen and what are your and Bob's thoughts on this subject?
