No more 100x odds at Casino Royale?

I struck up a conversation with a fellow craps player last week at Harrah's Southern California, and he mentioned that Casino Royale is no longer offering 100x odds. It's now 20x max. (Yes, even if you're betting at least $5.00.)
Can anyone confirm?

TRUE - 100x odds gone
Casino Royale is a family owned casino and when the father died, the wife and son hired a casino management firm that tried to changed this little boutique niche casino from what it was into a regular Strip casino which it cannot be. It has gone downhill ever since the old man died. They should have sold out years ago when Venetian and Harrahs was in a bidding war for them.

Is anyone in Las Vegas offering 100x? I think the highest I have seen is 20x at some of the Boyd joints (Main Street Station and Sam's Town)

I don't want to de-rail your thread, but can you tell me whether that casino has issued chips with that name on them, as opposed to the older Harrah's Rincon name? I had hoped to get by there last month and add a new chip to my collection, but my entire west coast trip got cancelled. I'll be as close as Palm Springs in January (if that trip doesn't meet the same fate), but I don't know whether there is a souvenir waiting for me.

Yes, they released a $5 chip with the new name shortly after the switch. (Whoa, that's a big picture.)

You can still find 100x odds at any HORSESHOE branded casino in the United States.

$15 min at Horseshoe Baltimore was in effect midweek, mid-day when I was there, it seems to be as low as they will go
maybe I should make an annual $1000 laid free odds bet, contingent on 'having a good year so far' ... I'm thinking about it. Walk up to the table, play until the right moment, announce that it is one bet and leave win or lose
If I can't leave 'win or lose', don't play
I still won't have bragging rights as someone who actually bet 100x odds , so I'm debating that

Interesting side issue -- I just received a promo flyer from Horseshoe Baltimore that includes five table match play coupons, one good each week in January. Funny thing is, these coupons are for $5 each. Doesn't seem as though I would have much of a chance to play them, since adding my own $5 matching chip to the coupon would still not bring me up to the table minimum.
I didn't plan to be in Baltimore anyway. In January I will be back in Las Vegas, making up for my November trip that got cancelled.

The high minimums are likely needed at urban casinos to keep certain...elements, to be as diplomatic about it as possible, off the craps tables.
Wonder if they also have restrictions on betting the hardways/props without first having action elsewhere on the table for the same reason.

Horseshoe Bossier City regularly has $5 minimum tables. I have never even one time seen anybody back up a $5 pass line bet with $500 odds.Quote: OneAngryDwarfThough most Horseshoes very rarely have less than a $10 minimum...

I've played next to a guy in Casino Royale a few years ago who did just that, back when they allowed 100X odds.
He played for an hour or more, and about broke even.

Yes I just check yesterday, it's there.
I rarely see people taking max odds at 10x table, so have anyone ever seen people taking max odds at 100x table?

Just saw this.
I was mailed the same deal for February, on the back it says you can still use the coupon, to just put the additional money down. The additional $10 in this case will not be matched, of course.

Thank you for this. I'll be there over Super Bowl weekend... if I win my big sports bet or have an otherwise good weekend I will now know where to go to parlay my wins :). 100x on a 4 or 10.

Good luck to you. Remember to ask what the minimum bet is to take 100x if you don't see any signage. I understand they often have the 100x odds in effect but don't put signs up.
Its rare that people actually go to full odds but what the heck...Superbowl....the casinos make a fortune.

I was supposed to make a $5 line bet/$500 odds at 2014 WoV Spring Fling at Casino Royale, but I chickened out/forgot. I'll do it on my next Vegas trip if the odds are still in effect. Although it may be on the don't side, which depending on the number, will be laying a LOT to win $500.
