Harrahs Indian property in Arizona has a game called Bet The House. It is a normal blackjack game 3/2 on blackjack, dealer hits soft 17, no surrender, 6 deck shoe, split like values upto 4 hands but only split aces once.

The side bets are all on the dealers hand. The dealer must make a hand for any of the side bets to win, thus if the dealer busts all side bets lose. The table minimum for blackjack is $10. A player who has an interest in the blackjack hand can bet $1 to $10 on any of the side bets. If everyone busts before the dealer exposes his hand he still hits as if there were still blackjack bets to settle. The side bets are:

Dealer exactly 2 cards: 3/2
Dealer exactly 3 cards: 2/1
Dealer exactly 4 cards: 8/1
Dealer exactly 5 cards: 50/1
Dealer exactly 6 cards: 500/1
Dealer all black cards: 5/1
Dealer all red cards: 5/1
Dealer odd total: (odds to follow)
Dealer even total: (odds to follow)

The normal side bets a player makes at this table is the Dealer 5-card and Dealer 6-card. I am curious to what the house edge is on these bets, specifically the 5-card and 6-card bets. I have seen people hit the 6-card bet 5 times in a night and someone recently hit the 6-card 3 times in 30 minutes with $5 bet each time for a total payout of $7500.

But...the analysis at this website is done for S17. The fact that the casino uses H17 bj (shame on greedy Mr. Harrah) changes the odds.

In any event, this side can be beaten (unless, of course, the casino is dealing from a CSM). The profitability depends on penetration, obviously.
