Has anyone had issues with casinos not allowing strategy cards at the table? Can anyone link to a casinos official policy on it? In general my experience at different casinos has ranged from strict pit bosses/dealers who will whine about every little policy (which is why I'm asking about a strategy card), to a 3 card poker dealer that actually let me take my folded hand back on 3 card poker because I was new to the game and didn't understand what I was doing (before I found WoO).

I play in NJ/PA.

I'm sure other players might hassle me about it (happens all the time when I don't do side bets on 3 card poker), but that's no matter.

While not in your area, I have been to a few places that are OK with players using a strategy card, but they're not OK with players keeping the strategy card on the table.

Wear a shirt with pockets and keep it there.

Or, just take 4 minutes and memorize Simple Strategy. The difference in expectation is negligible for a casual player (the type who would use a strategy card).
May the cards fall in your favor.

Ditto.

Some prefer that you keep them off the table (on the rail is fine) while others allow them on the table.

No casino is going to prevent you from using them unless you are taking too long to look up the strategy. After all, they sell the damn things in their gift shop so they're not going to forbid their use.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

At the places I've worked, we don't mind. For people who don't know how to play the game, I've seen a combination of strategy cards used and dealers / pit staff making suggestions on what to do.

Keep in mind that the advice they give is most of the time terrible anyways.
This feeling is heavy, makes my body ache and I'm ready; To fall into the sky and I see now, the reason why. My heart is heavy, takes me to a place I can't breathe. Only then I know why I see the warning sign.

Ive hardly ever seen anyone with BS cards out at the table. In my limited experience most people don't follow perfect basic strategy anyways. Most know how to play fairly well on on their stiff hands and stuff but hardly anyone ever doubles on soft hands correctly. I doubled on A7 vs 2 on a H17 game and everyone gave me a look lol.

Its also great to surrender your 15 and 16s. People vary wildly on that one. The majority of people don't surrender at all. I recall a few times where i had a 16v10 and a player down stream also had 16, i surrender my hand and hear comments on how they never surrender or something like that. They hit their 16 and get a 10 lol. You can tell they regret not surrendering lol. Honestly though it does go the other way as well, having times i surrender my hand and the next card out is 4 or 5, or the dealer busts regardless.

One thing to note though... PB's will rate your play based on how you play. So if he thinks you're the "standard" player he might give you a "standard" rating, which who knows, could be a 1-3% house edge. If he see's you with a BS card and playing strictly from it, he might label you as a good player, which may figure your comps off of a .5-1% house edge, thus lowering your comps several fold.

The best thing to do is honestly just memorize the little card. You should be able to memorize 90% of it in 1 sitting. The other 10% in another sitting, and lastly the differences between the games (H17, S17, surrender) in a 3rd sitting. Then you'll know this information for the rest of your life. 15 surrenders to a 10. 16 surrenders to A-10-9.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
