I am very curious. How much do you have to win before they grab you and force you into he back room? I am positive some of you have already had this horrible unnerving experience?! Please share.

Most of the time it happens it is not from winning anything, usually it's someone doing something illegal, like harassing or stealing from a casino guest.

The casino doesn't always like when players come up with a way to overcome the house edge, and if they push that too far, the casino may come up with measures to stop them. Being back roomed is a last resort.

It depends on where you are.

These days, many of the casinos won't try to get your ID via the regular security or backroom you. They rely on their minions, the gaming officers, to ID and possibly backroom you.

If you refuse to show your ID to the gaming thugs, then they will backroom you and physically search you in order to find your ID so that the casino can find how who you are and ban you. Gaming officers are in place to protect the casinos bottom line...which is kind of sad, considering at one time their general duty was to protect and serve the general public.

There's a certain amount of moral decay that comes from working in a casino. Their former thug life makes it tough for some former employees and gaming officers to have lasting relationships, function, and find jobs outside of the casino later in life.
