I was playing online blackjack, and to my horror, accidentally pressed "Hit" when I had two tens. I got an ace. And the dealer had 20, so I won. Everything happens for a reason?

Insane. Someone just told me the exact same story at a blackjack table in connecticut

Actually, I've hit on 20 with £400 at stake, and lost because I got mixed up as to which hand I was playing after a split. Lost, of course.

Was this an online game? I would certainly think any blackjack dealer in an actual casino would ask "Are you sure?" before dealing a card to a player with a 20.
