Coushatta Chip Change

Got this email this afternoon:

Coushatta Casino Resort rolled out new table game chips this week!

If you have current table game chips, you will need to visit the Main Cage to cash in your current chips by Monday, January 9, 2017.

After that date, all current table game chips/cheques/tokens will lose all monetary value and become non-playable souvenirs.

Their chips were not all that great as chips go...

If you have those chips, use them! I don't know if we will get there by that date (we have all but stopped doing local casino trips), so I may lose $5 or so...

Unless they've been targeted by counterfeiters, I don't think it's fair to redo the chips. All the people who have chips get screwed if they don't come back, which might be the intention getting the liabilities off the books.

It's not like they're becoming part of the European Union or something.
