Design expert cites new Philippines entertainment area of luxury casino projects as five isolated resorts ignoring the primary lesson of Las Vegas: integrated entertainment experience.

States Atlantic City mistake was to have casinos do everything they could to keep their customers inside their respective properties rather than encourage exploration. Resurrection of AC will depend upon an integrated entertainment experience.

Thinks Japanese casinos need a Freemont Street Experience.

Even when AC was taking in far more revenue than Las Vegas, one saw ads for Vegas but not ads for The Borgata.

Current Forbes article on Asian gambling. Had difficulty trying to copy the URL.

Good article. Agree that same lesson is applicable to AC.
My goal of being well informed conflicts with my goal of remaining sane.

Its a great article, I think, but its strange that it is cited in an Asian Gambling blog and did not receive much greater publicity since his comments refer to Vegas, AC, etc. etc.
