I’m going to Vegas in July and in anticipation of my trip I purchased the 2011 American Casino Guide. I planned on visiting a lot of the casinos and using as many of the match play coupons available in the book, however, now that the Sahara will be closing in May, any ideas as to what I can do with my $25 Sahara match play coupon? It’s the largest dollar denomination coupon offered in the book and I hate not being able to use it due to the casino closing two months before my arrival.

Mail it to the Wizard, ask him to play it for you, and hold the winnings?

Other than that I have no Idea, as I did the same and am gutted I cant use the coupon in June.

Play it at the Sahara - if you can get there before it closes down...

Or...absolutely forget about that little piece of paper, if you cannot use it in time....

What would you otherwise do with that little peice of paper...sell it on Ebay? - or sell it to a crack dealer??!!

If you had an expired coupon for $25 worth of Tide Laundry Detergent, only usable at the Sahara Casino also...would you concern yourself with it also, - if you could make it there in time...

Think about it, really...you can use the detergent more...

Edit: the ridiculous power of casino coupons....the Global Power & Reach of Proctor & Gamble....don't have squat on a failing nickel gambling house...earn comps instead...

Edit 2: Real gamblers use real money to do their real gambling...

Last time I was in Vegas I stayed at Terrible's . I had booked on-line, it was March madness, and wife said " We are staying at a place called Terrible's??" Nice casino anyway and they had a $25 match play coupon in local newspaper. So don't despair and value of $25 match play coupon is less than $12.50 So says the WIZ.
Dan, I must agree with you about real gamblers. Many self professed counters write on BJ forums about their trips to Vegas, how they never lose, only purpose on trip is to win. No shows, side trips, etc. Brag about their average winning of hundreds of $ an hour. Then tell about how they outsmarted another casino other than where they counted. And how they waited for shift change
and then used same coupon again. WOW !!! Spend an hour or two, travel to another casino, wait around, only bet minimum till use match play with high count and average less than $25 for the effort. ( my number, in blogs and forums, he wins both coupon hands ).
If I was winning hundreds of $ per hour I sure as hell would waste my time running across town to average a $25 win LOL

If I had a coupon for $25 of laundry detergent in Las Vegas, and I knew someone in Las Vegas, I would mail them that coupon. I guess that doesn't make me a real consumer, because I use coupons to do some of my shopping...

Unfortunately it will not be valid, so you will not be able to use it. You might try to trade with someone who is going on an earlier Vegas trip. The limitation on the Sahara coupon is one per player's club account, per year.

Actually it's once per month per player's club account.
